The Neurology landscape in 2024 is poised for significant transformation, driven by recent studies reflecting the rapid advancement of knowledge in the field. Subspecialties like Neurovascular and Neurorestoration are progressing even faster. Guidelines and Consensus in 2024 are likely to undergo swift changes, refining their predecessors. The implementation of guidelines has proven to be cost-effective and ensures therapeutic efficacy. However, globally oriented guidelines may not seamlessly apply at the domestic level, necessitating policies and wisdom for implementation in Indonesia. Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Neurologi Indonesia (PERDOSNI) plays a crucial role in realizing these objectives.

Pertemuan Ilmiah Nasional (PIN) organized by PERDOSNI, scheduled for May 30 to June 2 in Surabaya, will delve into the latest developments in Neurovascular disciplines (Stroke and vessel, Neurointervention, Neuroimaging, Neuro-otology, and Neuro-ophthalmology), Neurorestoration & Neuroengineering, Neuroepidemiology, as well as Law and Ethics. The theme for PIN PERDOSNI 2024 is "Unlocking Recent Evidence and Practice Guideline: Bridging the Gap within the Indonesian Context."

The Surabaya committee in May 2024 will warmly welcome and facilitate various scientific discussions encompassed in symposiums, workshops, poster and oral presentations, as well as a neurovascular competition among neurology education centers in Indonesia.
